Abstract
The [{(C4H7O)CH(2)CO(2)Et}2Cl3Y] compound was prepared by direct react ion of YCl3 with tetrahydrofurfuryl propionate in CH2Cl2. The complex have been structurally characterized. The compound crystallizes in C2/ c space group with a = 20.454(9), b = 9.716(3), c = 13.335(5) Angstrom and beta = 125.45(5)degrees. The yttrium atom in the compound is seve n-coordinated. Four oxygen atoms and three chlorine atoms form pentago nal bipyramid around the yttrium atom. The catalytic activity of the t itle compound was found for ethylene.
