Abstract
Using the inductive model of the electric double layer, the combinatio n of the relaxation method (RM) and electrochemical impedance spectros copy (EIS) described earlier, the standard rate constant of the [Fe(CN )(6)](3-), [Fe(CN)(6)](4-)/Pt electrode reaction has been determined i n concentrated (0.3 M) solutions of the reactants in 1 M KNO3. For com parison there were also performed measurements in 1 M KCl and 1 M H2SO 4 The activation parameters of this electrode reaction have been evalu ated from the temperature dependence of the standard rate constant. It has been proved that the inductive model of the electric double layer can adequately describe the electric double layer at reversible elect rodes in concentrated solutions.
