Abstract
2,6-Dimethyl- and carbonyl-alpha-trifluoromethyl-p-methylenequinones h ave been synthesized. These compounds easily react with ammonia, morph oline, and p-toluidine to afford the corresponding roxyphenyl)-beta,be ta,beta-trifluoro-alpha-alanine derivatives.
