Js. Bethel, GEOMETRIC ALIGNMENT AND CALIBRATION OF A PHOTOGRAMMETRIC IMAGE SCANNER, ISPRS journal of photogrammetry and remote sensing, 50(2), 1995, pp. 37-42
A description is given of the architecture of a high resolution, photo
grammetric image scanner. A sequence of steps is given to mutually ali
gn a linear sensor, an objective lens, and a two-axis stage. The recom
mended alignment sequence is supported by derivations from geometric o
ptics. The overall system geometry is then verified by scanning and an
alyzing a grid plate yielding RMS errors of 5 mum in X and Y.
