Abstract
In recent years entrapment of cells within spheres of calcium alginate has become the most widely used technique for immobilizing living cel ls. The present method includes immobilization of enzyme urease in the matrices of calcium alginate gels and its kinetics studies in a batch as well as a column reactor.
