4-Nitro-2-phenoxymethanesulfonanilide, C13H12N2O5S, is an anti-inflamm atory drug. The molecular conformation is stabilized by an intramolecu lar N-H ... O hydrogen bond. The angle between the two phenyl rings is 74.7 degrees. The cohesion of the crystal is the result of NH ... O i ntermolecular hydrogen bonds and van der Waals interactions.
