Abstract
The review deals predominantly with the use of carbon sorbents for the preconcentration of organic pollutants from environmental matrices. T he knowledge on the structure of carbon materials, properties of vario us kinds of carbon sorbents, their classification and characterisation are surveyed. According to the characteristics and properties of carb on sorbents, the information is given on their application in analytic al practice. The paper contains 104 literature references.
