Abstract
OKalpha spectra of glycine and some transition metal complexes with gl ycine ligands were obtained The electronic structure of the glycine zw itterion is calculated by a quantum chemical method, and a theoretical X-ray spectrum of the glycine molecule is constructed. The nature of the metal-ligand bond in the compounds is discussed on the basis of ex perimental spectra and theoretical calculations.
