Abstract
The mass-spectrometric behavior of a paramagnetic platinum oligomer wi th guanine was determined by the fast atom bombardment method. The com plex is built of PtCl2 groups linked by guanine molecules into a chain via the imidazole N7 atom and the exocyclic OC6 atom. In a dimethylsu lfoxide solution, the degree of oligomerization of the complex is n = 4.
