E. Rinik et I. Santa, CHANGES IN PRODUCTIVE AND QUALITATIVE PAR AMETERS OF SUGAR-BEET DUE TO THE FORMS AND DOSES OF FERTILIZERS, Rostlinna vyroba, 41(3), 1995, pp. 129-133
In the years 1989 to 1992 polyfactorial field trials were conducted on
experimental sites of the Regional Research Institute of Agroecology,
Michalovce Co solve also the problem of sugar beet nutrition. Sugar b
eet was cultivated in alluvial and alluvial gleyic soils after winter
wheat. The manure (in a dose of 45 t.ha(-1)) and ground limestone (in
a dose of 6 t.ha(-1)) were applied after the harvest of forecrop. In v
iew of nutrition the trials included treatments Ill to Hg The nutrient
doses needed were calculated by the balance method, and in alluvial s
oil it was NPK 309.9 kg.ha(-1) of pure nutrients, at a ratio of nutrie
nts 1:0.51:0.91 and in alluvial gleyic soil it was 324.6 kg.ha(-1) at
a ratio of nutrients 1:0.53:1.01. For basic fertilization liquid PK sa
lt was applied on the stubble and during presowing treatment with fert
ilizer DAM 390 two-thirds of nitrogen dose needed were supplied in the
treatments H-1 to H-4. Treatment H-5 was unfertilized control. In lea
f dressing by one-third of nitrogen treatments were different by the f
arm of fertilizer applied: DAM 390 (H-1), FOSTIM (H-2, H-3) or LAV (H-

sed by 22.9% in alluvial soil and by 29% (H-1) in alluvial gleyic soil
. Medium to high linear dependence of the yield production was found.
out on supplied doses of nutrients and forms of fertilizers (r = 0.59
to 0.88); 1 kg of supplied pure nutrients produced 19.0 to 40.0 kg in
alluvial soil and 42.2 to 48.6 kg of roots in alluvial gleyic soil. Th
e highest production effect of nutrients was achieved when only liquid
fertilizer was applied and dressing by DAM 390. Raised dose of nurien
ts resulted in decrease in digestion, the content of ashes and MB-fact
or values rose. Application of liquid manure significantly reduced a n
egative impact on the quality of sugar beet due to the higher doses of
nutrients applied compared with parameters after dressing by solid fe
rtilizer - ammonium-calcerous nitrate. An effect of fertilization by l
iquid fertilizers was more significant in alluvial gleyic soil, that i
s in the soil with lower natural yield potential.
