D. Prokopowicz et al., PREVALENCE OF ANTIBODIES AGAINST TICK-BORNE ENCEPHALITIS AMONG RESIDENTS OF NORTH-EASTERN POLAND, Scandinavian journal of infectious diseases, 27(1), 1995, pp. 15-16
In 37 out of 613 (6%) residents of north eastern Poland, IgG antibodie
s to tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) were detected at levels exce
eding the diagnostic value of 60 VIEU/ml. The prevalence of the antibo
dies was not related to sex or place or residence. However, significan
tly higher antibody levels were found in the group of forest workers t
han in individuals not professionally connected with forestry.
