Abstract
Rahnella aquatilis, a rare Gram-negative rod, usually found in fresh w ater, was isolated from blood of a diabetic patient and a patient with laryngeal carcinoma. Both recovered from the infection after treatmen t with parenteral antibiotics including gentamicin.
