Abstract
Based on a dynamic analysis of the regularities of motion of a cubic b lank in the working zone formed by the conical sections of tools, an e xplanation is given of how the weight of the blank varies experimental ly with processing time. An analytical expression is obtained for the reduced coefficient of rolling friction, which makes it possible to an alyze the processing, allowing for the geometrical and kinematic chara cteristics corresponding to the working zone of the tools and the blan k, as well as the state of the rubbing surfaces and of the hold-down f orces. The optimum process for forming balls from cubes is considered.
