Abstract
The AAMFT Commission on Accreditation (COA) requires that a course in ethics/professionalism be taught to therapists in training. Results of a study that analyzed syllabi from the ethics courses of accredited M FT training programs across the United States are reported. Accredited programs are making an effort to teach about ethical dilemmas, legali ties, and professional issues in MFT. These are the three specific are as AAMFT requires programs to teach. Other important topics are also b eing presented in this course. These topics were not syllabus to sylla bus and may more accurately reflect the professor's world view than re quirements set by the COA.
