Abstract
Using Regge theory at Born level and with eikonalized amplitudes we ob tain for the pomeron intercept the values 1.104 and 1.122, respectivel y, from global fits to total cross section and rho-value data for p(+/ -)p, pi(+/-)p and K(+/-)p.
