Abstract
The generic assignments of Ctenicera sleeperi Becker, C. pilatei (Cham pion), and a related new species are reviewed. Deronocus, new genus, i s described with C. sleeperi Becker as the type species; this species is also newly reported from Baja California Norte, Mexico. Ctenicera p ilatei (Champion) is assigned to the athiodes group of Conoderus Eschs choltz. Conoderus jamaicensis, new species, is described and considere d the possible sister species of Conoderus pilatei.
