Am. Vernava et al., LAPAROSCOPIC RESTORATION OF INTESTINAL CONTINUITY AFTER HARTMANN PROCEDURE, Surgical laparoscopy & endoscopy, 5(2), 1995, pp. 129-132
Two cases of laparoscopic restoration of intestinal continuity are pre
sented. The procedures were technically straightforward and both patie
nts did well. These cases add to a small but growing literature docume
nting the technical feasibility of laparoscopic intestinal surgery. Th
e potential risks and benefits of this minimally invasive technique ar
e discussed.
