Abstract
Intraoperative image-guided navigation allows the surgeon to identify anatomic landmarks obscured by overlying normal tissue, neoplasms, inf ection, or previous surgery. This case presentation illustrates some o f the practical applications of the ISG image-guided navigation system during anterior cranial base surgery. The advantages and the pitfalls of the ISG system are discussed.
