Abstract
The access to polymeric surfactants via thiol/en addition is investiga ted, and some synthetic guidelines are established. Surfactant monomer s containing two olefinic groups of different reactivity were newly sy nthesized. They were reacted with various thiols to provide reaction p roducts with well-defined chemical structures. Polymers with different length and polarity of their repeat units were obtained.
