Abstract
The experimental results of position annihilation experiments in aqueo us solutions of acetamide were compared to those of ultrasonic velocit y. The system under investigation behaves untypically when changing ac etamide concentration. From the point of view of surface tension it in teracts with water like normal alcohols, while the positron annihilati on and ultrasonic results suggest hydrophilic hydration and lack of hy drophobic interactions.
