Abstract
A 45-year-old-woman with giant cell myocarditis showing high titer of
circulating antiheart antibodies is reported. She experienced two recu
rrences of myocarditis and repeatedly responded to immunosuppressive t
herapy using prednisolone. The titer of antiheart antibodies went up a
nd down appropriately according to the clinical responses to immunosup
pressive therapy. This case suggested that giant cell myocarditis migh
t be related to autoimmunity.
