So. Hoffmann et M. Bassler, PERSPECTIVES OF PSYCHOANALYTICALLY FOUNDE D FOCUS-CENTERED PSYCHOTHERAPY OF ANXIETY DISORDERS, Forum der Psychoanalyse, 11(1), 1995, pp. 2-14
First experiences with a preliminary ''manual'' for psychoanalytically
founded focus centered psychotherapy for anxiety disorders are presen
ted. This manual was developed within the scope of a study concerning
the differential indication of outpatient versus inpatient psychothera
py with patients with generalized anxiety disorder (ICD-10: F41.1), ag
oraphobia with panic attacks (F 40.01) and panic disorder (F 41.0) in
close orientation on the focus centered therapeutic concept of Luborsk
y (1984, 1988). We also considered experiences of Mentzos (1984) with
low frequent psychotherapy of anxiety neurosis. The therapeutic perspe
ctives of our focus centered treatment concept are particularly discus
sed.
