Especially in mobile communication, the use of spread-spectrum systems
has been discussed extensively because of their anti-fading capabilit
y. The performance of direct-sequence code-division multiple-access sy
stems depends on the correlation properties of the used code-sequences
. In some applications, e.g. if cellular systems or systems with combi
ned coding and spreading are considered, large families of code-sequen
ces are of interest. In this contribution construction methods for the
se large sets of sequences are described and their correlation propert
ies (size, periodic peak correlation parameter and average interferenc
e parameter) are compared.
