Abstract
Recently, several numerical techniques were developed to improve both accuracy and efficiency of existing modeling tools to analyze coaxiall y fed rectangular microstrip antennas. This paper describes the embedd ing of these techniques into the well-known method of moments procedur e. Based on the resulting theoretical tool a software package was impl emented to analyze many rectangular microstrip antenna configurations used in practise. The most important goal of this paper is to show the high accuracy and efficiency of the modeling tool and to prove the su itability of the package for CAD purposes. This is done through extens ive comparison with measurements and analysis of the calculation times involved.
