Abstract
Coordination compounds of 2-mercaptopyrimidine (2-MP) with RU(III), Rh (III), Pd(II) and Pt(II) of the formulae Ru(2-MP)(2)Cl (Ru-1), Rh(2-MP )(2)Cl (Rh-1), Pd(2-MP)(2) (Pd-1) and Pt(2-MP)(2) (Pt-1) have been obt ained. The compounds were identified by elemental analysis, X-ray diff raction patterns and magnetic measurements. Thermal stability of the c ompounds was estimated by derivate graphic measurements and the clectr on-donating atom of the ligand was identified from their I.R. spectra.
