Abstract
The enthalpy change of the decomposition of alpha-AlOOH(diaspore) was calorimetrically determined. Combining with results from the literatur e the standard enthalpy of formation of alpha-AlOOH (diaspore) has bee n obtained as - (1002.7 +/- 1.0) kJ.mol(-1).
