Abstract
NEC has developed a 36 cm (15 inch) power saving color display tube wi th a slim neck (22.5 mm diameter). It reduces deflection power by appr oximately 32% compared to an ordinary 29.1 mm neck display tube. The n ew main focus lens S-ELA (Super Expanded Large Aperture) is designed t o have a new electron gun, attaining high resolution as a current elec tron gun in 29.1 mm neck display tube.
