Abstract
In the past the focus in studying the serial murderer has been on desc riptions of the heinous crimes, profiling, and other law enforcement i ssues. Through analysis of childhood, adulthood experiences, and perso nality traits, some tentative factors emerge that set the process in m otion for the later emergence of this remarkably antisocial behavior.
