L. Tanacs et al., EFFECT OF NPK FERTILIZATION AND YEAR ON T HE FLOUR-EXTRACTIONS AND BRAN-EXTRACTIONS OF WHEAT-VARIETIES, Novenytermeles, 43(6), 1994, pp. 513-520
In the tests the flour and bran extractions of two wheat varietie were
evaluated over two years at different fertilizer levels. Concerning t
he two mill-industrial characteristics it can be stated that the effec
t of variety and year significantly influenced the parameters tested,
while the effect of the different fertilizer treatments was not so mar
ked. The year x variety x fertilizer interaction was strong. The year
1991 resulted in a higher flour extraction % in both wheat varieties a
t the 16 different fertilizer levels. The flour extraction % in variet
y GK Csuros was in every treatment during the two years significantly
higher than that of variety GK Kata. The rate of the flour and bran ex
tractions in the two wheat varieties was decisively controlled by the
genotype. The variety GK Csuros showed at increasing N doses at 0 P an
d 0 K levels a growing flour extraction % in both years, while in vari
ety GK Kata this was contradictory at similar treatment levels. The in
creasing P, K dosings at 0 N level in GK Csuros gave in the most combi
nations reliable flour extraction %, while in GK Kata the development
of this parameter during the two years partly rose, and partly decreas
ed. The combined P, K and N fertilizations strengthened in GK Csuros t
he increase of flour extraction, while in GK Kata this effect was not
as marked. The year had a strong influence on the improving effect of
combined fertilizers on flour extraction %. The rate of bran extractio
n showed always an inverse tendency with the flour extraction %.
