Abstract
The classical Bowman-Birk inhibitor from soya retards strongly the hyd rolysis of elastin catalyzed by leukocyte elastase, cathepsin G and a mixture of both. The inhibitory effect is practically unaffected by bo th the adsorption of the enzymes on elastin and prolongation of the en zymatic reaction.
