Abstract
The influence of MgO dispersed on gamma-Al2O3 in different ent amounts on the structure and performances of Pd/gamma Al2O3 catalysts has bee n studied by means of XRD, H-2-O-2 titration, BET and catalytic activi ty test for CO oxidation. It was found that introduction of MgO enhanc ed greatly the CO oxidation activity of the catalyst. It seems that th e enhanced activity stems from the stronger interaction between MgO an d gamma-Al2O3 at a given temperature (e.g. 450 degrees C).
