A correlation exists between the number of surface acid sites and the
catalytic activity of NiMo/TiO2-Al2O3 systems in thiophene hydrodesulf
urization. The catalytic activity for thiophene hydrodesulfurization a
nd surface concentration of Bronsted acid sites increase with the tita
nia content in the TiO2-Al2O3 support.
