Abstract
The additions of crotonaldehyde N,N-dimethylhydrazone to juglone and a zanaphthoquinones are performed under sonochemical and thermal conditi ons. The rates and products of the reactions, Diels-Alder cycloadditio n and amination of the quinones are largely modified by ultrasonic irr adiation. In addition, the study reveals an apparent similarity betwee n high pressure and ultrasonic effects.
