Abstract
We present a list of 88 IRAS low resolution spectra that exhibit 10 mu m silicate emission features similar to the one in the spectrum of bet a Pictoris. Unlike the majority of LRS silicate emission spectra, whic h show a relatively narrow, single peak at approximately 10 mum, the o nes in the present list show a wide feature, with two peaks at 9 and 1 1 mum. The spectral characteristics indicate the emission originates f rom oxygen-rich circumstellar dust. Many of the sources have no known associations; those that do are typically low mass asymptotic giant br anch Miras or massive supergiants. The sources show a preferential dis tribution towards the galactic center.
