ON AUGER CVV LINE-SHAPES FROM COVALENTLY BONDED SOILS

When the overlap of atomic orbitals at different sites is important, w hat kind of ''local density of states'' do we observe in Auger spectra ? We try to answer this question by extending the Cini-Sawatzky theory . We find that the line shape allows to discriminate between Hamiltoni ans that embody the same atomic and band structures but may predict ve ry different spectra.
