Abstract
This paper briefly reviews the evidence supporting the reality of heal ing as a scientifically-attested phenomenon, the techniques and mechan isms of healing and the potential value of this therapy if it were dev eloped and integrated into the medical services. The need for further extensive research is indicated and strategies for such research are s uggested.
