Ng. Khawaja et al., MODIFICATION OF THE CATASTROPHIC COGNITIONS QUESTIONNAIRE (CCQ-M) FORNORMALS AND PATIENTS - EXPLORATORY AND LISREL ANALYSES, Journal of psychopathology and behavioral assessment, 16(4), 1994, pp. 325-342
The recently developed Catastrophic Cognition Questionnaire (CCQ) was
further investigated using both student and anxiety patient samples. L
ISREL confirmatory factor analyses was used. The results showed that t
he CCQ could be explained by a three-factor oblique solution. These ar
e Emotional Catastrophes, Physical Catastrophes, and Mental Catastroph
es. The modified version of CCQ (CCQ-M) revealed good internal consist
ency, test-retest reliability and concurrent validity. It has also goo
d discriminant validity. The CCQ-M can therefore be used with both nor
mal and anxiety-disordered patients.
