An earlier preliminary study conducted at Baragwanath Hospital in Sowe to, South Africa, showed a statistically significant seasonal pattern for mood disorder presentation. These findings provided the basis for further exploration of the phenomenon. The present study replicates th e earlier one in an attempt to establish the pervasiveness of the note d impact of season on mood disorder presentation.
