Abstract
We report the preparation of 3-F-alkyl 2-alkoxy propan-1,3-diols (2 = Et, 3 = Oc). They are obtained from 3-F-alkyl 2,3-epoxypropanoates 1 i n a one-pot regioselective oxiranic ring alcoholysis and ester reducti on by NaBH4 in alcoholic media (EtOH, OcOH).
