Abstract
Using a recently developed formalism for the weak-field Hall effect in 2D metals. we calculate the expected magnitude and temperature depend ence of the Hall conductivity sigma(xy) and Hall coefficient R(Hall)(T ) directly in terms of Fermi surface parameters for two prototypical s ingle band quasi-2D molecular superconductors: (TMTSF)(2)PF6 and beta- (BEDT-TTF)2I(3). The results, which are in good agreement with experim ent, provide a new measure of the T- and k-dependent scattering time t au(k)(T) on the fermi surface.
