Solid state high resolution C-13 NMR investigations of 3 isostructural
organic conductors, Per(2)X(mnt)(2) (Per-perylene, X=Pd, Pt and Au) a
re reported. The observed metallic shifts of resonances are interprete
d as due to the Pauli paramagnetism of conducting electrons of perylen
e chains only and are in agreement with inhomogeneous spin density dis
tribution over perylene cation resulting from Huckel calculations.
