Electron spin resonance (ESR) data on several chemically generated C-6
0(-) Salts as well as electrochemically generated (CH3)2C(60)(-) are p
resented. The g values for a series of tetraalkylammonium, pyridinium,
phosphonium and arsonium salts are independent of the identity of the
cation whereas their linewidth varies from 10.0 to 53.6 G. The anion
of (CH3)2C(60)(-) has a g value of 2.000 and an ESR linewidth of 2.8 G
, typical of a system containing a non-degenerate LUMO.
