Abstract
The authors report the first case of intestinal spirochaetosis observe d in French Guyana as a cause of choleriform syndrome in a healthy you ng adult. Regarding the source of the contamination, they discuss the possible role of the ingestion of hand-made fruit juces preserved more than two days before drinking.
