It is shown that the two-step model of the reaction pd --> He-3 X (X =
eta, eta', omega, phi), involving the subprocesses pp --> d pi(+) and
pi(+)n --> Xp allows to explain the form of energy dependence of expe
rimental cross sections above the thresholds under assumption that the
singlet part of the pp --> d pi(+) amplitude dominates in collinear k
inematics. The spin-spin asymmetry for the reaction (d) over right arr
ow (p) over right arrow -->(3) HeX has been found to be similar to -1
in the forward-backward approximation.
