A case of malignant pericardial effusion associated with endometrial a
denocarcinoma is presented. A total abdominal hysterectomy with bilate
ral salpingo-oophorectomy and partial omentectomy was performed 8 mont
hs before the occurrence of cardiac tamponade. The treatment of malign
ant pericardial effusion consisted of emergency pericardiocentesis and
systemic chemotherapy and a clinical response for 6 months was achiev
