Abstract
The purpose of this second European conference was to present to steel producers, installation designers and researchers the progress of the processes and the state of the art of continuous casting. First of al l, various aspects of the classical continuous casting process, then t he continuous casting of thin products (thin slabs and strips and bar products), were treated.
