Abstract
The biosynthesis of the antibiotic metabolities oosponol and oospoglyc ol by the fungus Gloeophyllum abietinum has been analysed using C-13-l abelled acetate, malonate, serine and formate as precursors and C-13 N MR as the analytical method. The polyketide pathway could be confirmed . One carbon of the isocoumarin ring originates from serine. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science
