Abstract
An introduction is given to the measurement of atomic momentum distrib ution by scattering of high-energy neutrons. Examples of measurements on liquid hydrogen, solid lithium, quantum fluids Ne and He-3-He-4 mix tures are given. Future prospects for this new technique are discussed .
