CHEMICOTHERMAL TREATMENT - OXYNITRIDING (NITROOXIDIZING)

Often galvanic coatings are used to enhance the corrosion resistance o f rubbing surfaces in aggressive media. However, the processes for obt aining such coatings are ecologically damaging. Accordingly, nitriding , oxynitriding, and carboxynitriding, which are ecologically cleaner p rocesses, have been used increasingly widely in recent years instead o f deposition of galvanic coatings. In this paper, a new oxynitriding t echnology is proposed which provides high corrosion resistance and wea r resistance for machine parts.
