Abstract
The characteristics and performance of an h-type method using volume i ntegral equations and edge elements to calculate nonlinear 2D and 3D m agnetostatic fields are studied. Recent developments in the GFUNET pac kage, which implements a volume integral method, have significantly im proved the efficiency of the code. This is borne out by recent results .
